In late 2006, the Sport & Social concept was dead in the city of Dallas. That is until a small group of friends went to work on launching a new business with a company logo and raw business plan sketched out on a bar napkin. Big D Sports launched in the spring of 2007 pairing a Monday night softball league with a Saturday afternoon flag football league. Little did they know this concept would explode! Today, with just under 11,000 members, Big D Sports operates leagues six days a week having added kickball and soccer to their core line-up. A recent partnership with the City of Richardson’s Corporate Challenge program will only grow those numbers in 2012.
