In response to the Houston Sports & Social Club suddenly being told to shut down its business, Clubmonkey (founded in 1996) and HSSC merged in 2000 to form Sportsmonkey. It is a limited partnership consisting 3 fulltime employees (Brandt Tillotson, Corey Johnston and Anthony Wegmann) and over 30 part time employees. Sportsmonkey is the premiere sports league provider in Houston designed to bring together two activities most people love doing... playing sports and socializing! They have over 18 different leagues with 400+ teams a season and over 20 social events a year including Houston's largest NYE and St. Patrick's Day parties! Sportsmonkey is also known for its for its unique tournaments including the wild Balls in the Dark Night Golf Tourney, and their annual group ski & beach trips to places like Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, Jamaica, Lake Tahoe, Park City, Steamboat, etc.
