Galen, from Baltimore, MD originally, is a recent MBA graduate from the Johnson School at Cornell University. He also received a bachelors degree from Cornell University in 2002 (Economics). Between these two adventures in academia he was a professional lacrosse player in Boston, a primary school teacher in Manchester (UK) and a software/strategy consultant in the Northeast US region. He was introduced to the world of Social Sports in 2010 as a Finance and Analytics Manager at VAVi Sport & Social. Since then he has built relationships with over 100 Social Sports businesses worldwide and works for the Executive Committee to execute on their vision each year.
Krissy joined the SSIA in 2014 as the owner of Kaboom Sports & Social Club in Pensacola, Florida. That same year, she was elected to the SSIA’s Executive Committee to represent the smaller clubs in the organization. In 2015, she was named Marketing Chair and formed the Marketing Sub-Committee in order to create an outward-facing brand for the social sports industry, the Social Sports Network. In 2016, she sold her business to a fellow Industry Member, Club Sport, and moved to a horse farm in South Carolina. She wanted to stay involved in the industry and accepted the new role of Associate Director on October 1st, 2016. Krissy graduated from the University of Florida in 2004 with a B.S. in Advertising and minor in Business. Her previous work experience includes teaching, marketing management, media buying and planning, and account management in industries including healthcare, education, retail, banking, food service and government. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses, traveling and spending time with her family.
